I Love Scarves and I Love Art! Now the Two are Combined in One in PopImpressKA's Gorgeous Designer Shawl

I just love the chain-reaction of life and how, for example, my entering my book, The Kitchen Dance, in MARSocial Author of the Year Competition introduced me to Karynne Summars (the winner) and by interviewing her for my blog, The Delete Key, I found out she was a fashion model and contributing writer for PopImressKA Journal (which stands Popular Impressive Kaleidoscope), a magazine featuring wonderful articles on all things wonderfully artistic, created by Olga Papkovitch, which is how, by Olga liking a link about my blogpost on Karynne's books Desperate Pursuit in Venice and her upcoming release, Desperate Pursuit in Rio De Janeiro, we became Facebook friends.

Then Googling PopImpressKA, I found this shawl and much, much more!

Isn't this shawl/scarf beautiful! And it can be yours, just visit their site at PopImpressKA Brand. It is available in silk and silk blend in three different sizes.

Then I found this YouTube video featuring another version of this elegant design.

Okay, ladies!

I know how you love designer handbags!

Designed to compliment EVERYTHING, this line is simply amazing!

The origami design of one skirt is so incredible chic!

Like I said, I love scarves!

This one is one of my favorites, it was a gift from the cast of "Dial M for Murder" that I directed with Ruston Community Theatre.

If anyone is looking for the perfect gift for me...
I'd like a 6' scarf by Olga!

Some Say Talent Runs in Our Family, Or in Our Case, Talent RUNS Our Family!

I want to share this Facebook post promoting my son, Gray Taylor, who will be one of the Artist at the upcoming Louisiana Comic-Con in Bossier City (February 21, 2015).

The Artist Alley continues to expand as Gray Taylor joins the con, a multimedia artist with a passion for all things geeky.
While drawing is his favorite past-time, he is not afraid to try other art styles if it means creating more awesome things. His interests range from movies and TV to video games and comic books of all shapes and sizes.
With a few awards already under his belt, he is constantly working hard to improve his mad skills. Gray is currently studying Graphic Design at Louisiana Tech University and wants to be the very best, like no one ever was!

Original Painting 24"x36"

Godzilla Kanji Art

Skateboard Fan Art

Self-Portrait

Gray Taylor is an awesome artist (and I'm not just saying that because I'm his mother!) and he has great potential! Even as a very young artist, he was able to replicate the work of his favorite cartoon and comic book artists and the more he is challenged, the better he becomes.

Bea's Book Nook and other Creative Blogs!

I've got to spruce up my blogs.

Because I take advantage of the freebies for my blogs, I am rather limited to fonts and graphics.

So, you have to get creative, and in some cases, make up your own. This is something I have not found the time to do, lately.

So after visiting and now following some cleverly constructed blogs, I am inspired!

AND I really need to get to work!

The Delete Key

In the meantime...check out this adorable and inspirational blog!

This Video ALWAYS Makes Me Chuckle! Jurassic Park Prairie Dog! BEWARE!

I always get a kick out of this video.

The best part is that my son, Gray, made this video when he was fourteen. He is just so clever to take a rather dull video (okay, the prairie dog is adorable) and sync it with a Tyrannosaurus Rex audio file from Jurassic Park!

Listen for the lady saying "sorry" at the end.

NEVER disturb a prairie dog in his lair!

Just thought I'd share. :)

Shameless Self-Promoting and Website Building 101!

I guess one of the worst things you can do as a blogger is to double dip on your own post!

https://g2taylor.wordpress.com/2015/01/15/working-on-my-website/

But this one was a dual topic post anyway, having to do with book promotion AND being my creative self!

Between this blog, my two other blogs (The Delete Key, 365 Days of Santa Claus). Goodreads, two websites (g2taylor.com and the one I keep for Grave Expectations, my local chapter of Sister's in Crime), and now, my new about.me/g2taylor page, not to mention YouTubePinterestEtsyeBay, AND Amazon's Author Page plus the numerous other sites like MARSocial that want to know a bit about you like Google, Facebook (The Kitchen Dance, Geri G. Taylor Artist, Author, Actress and then my personal page which is also public!) I keep pretty busy with all of this shameless self-promoting.

We authors call it building a "platform" and it literally takes up more time that actually writing a novel!

Go figure!

Wow! January 4th and I Still Haven't Packed Up the Holiday Decorations!

I should be ashamed...but I'm not.

I'm actually sorting through my Santas and deciding which ones to sell on eBay or Etsy. Also, I ordered some dry wax tissue paper, the kind they use at delis because they are the best for wrapping fragile ornaments. Moisture can cause regular tissue paper to stick to the painted finishes of my favorite House of Hatten figures.

So, the ever talented in all things, Lara, from Overstuffed offered some great advice for packing up your holiday decor!
